1. Acceptance of terms

By downloading, installing, or using Lunera ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the App.

2. Description of service

Lunera is a pregnancy tracking application that helps users:

• Track pregnancy weeks and days
• Learn about baby development through weekly information
• Time contractions with real-time stats and session history
• Show a Live Activity on the lock screen and Dynamic Island during active timing
• Start and stop contractions hands-free with Siri voice commands
• Access the contraction timer from the Control Center widget
• Receive optional weekly notifications
• View pregnancy progress through home screen widgets

The App also offers an optional premium upgrade ("Lunera PRO") that permanently unlocks:

• Week explorer: Browse all 40 weeks of pregnancy development
• Thoughtful insights: On-device AI-generated insights about baby development using Apple's Foundation Models
• 5-1-1 Pattern Detection: Automatic alerts when contractions follow the 5-1-1 rule
• Guided Breathing: Animated 4-4 breathing exercises during contractions
• PDF Reports: Session reports for sharing with healthcare providers
• iCloud Sync: Contraction data synced across devices via your personal Apple iCloud account

The App is designed for informational and educational purposes only.

3. Medical disclaimer

• The information provided in the App is for general educational purposes only
• Always seek the advice of your physician or other qualified healthcare provider with any questions about your pregnancy
• Never disregard professional medical advice or delay seeking it because of information provided by the App
• If you have a medical emergency, call your doctor or emergency services immediately

4. Accuracy of information

While we strive to provide accurate and up-to-date information:

• Week calculations are estimates based on the dates you provide
• Baby development information is generalized and may not apply to every pregnancy
• The App does not account for complications, medical conditions, or individual circumstances
• We make no warranties about the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of the information

5. User responsibilities

As a user of Lunera, you agree to:

• Provide accurate dates for pregnancy calculations
• Use the App responsibly and for its intended purpose
• Consult with healthcare professionals for medical decisions
• Not rely solely on the App for pregnancy tracking or medical information
• Keep the App updated to the latest version

6. Age restrictions

Lunera is intended for users who are:

• At least 13 years of age
• Pregnant or tracking pregnancy for informational purposes
• Capable of consenting to these terms in their jurisdiction

7. Privacy and data

Your privacy is important to us. Please review our Privacy Policy for detailed information about:

• What data the App collects (pregnancy start date, notification preferences)
• How data is stored (locally on your device only)
• Your rights regarding your data

Key point: All your data is stored locally on your device. We do not collect, transmit, or have access to your personal information.

8. Intellectual property

The App, including its content, features, and functionality, is owned by the developer and is protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

You may not:

• Copy, modify, or distribute the App without permission
• Reverse engineer or attempt to extract source code
• Remove or alter any copyright, trademark, or other proprietary notices
• Use the App's content for commercial purposes without permission

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

• The App is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind
• We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure
• We are not liable for any damages arising from your use of the App
• We are not responsible for decisions made based on information provided by the App
• Our liability is limited to the amount you paid for the App, including any in-app purchases

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the App developer from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from:

• Your use of the App
• Your violation of these Terms
• Your violation of any third-party rights

11. Lunera PRO (in-app purchase)

Purchase terms

• Lunera PRO is a one-time, non-consumable in-app purchase
• The purchase is processed through Apple's App Store and is subject to Apple's Standard End User License Agreement
• Once purchased, PRO features are unlocked permanently and do not require a subscription
• Purchase can be restored on the same Apple ID through the App's settings

AI insights feature

• The thoughtful insights feature depends on Apple Intelligence availability, which requires iOS 26 or later and a compatible device
• This requirement is disclosed in the App before purchase
• AI processing runs entirely on-device using Apple's Foundation Models — no data is sent to external servers
• Generated insights are for informational and entertainment purposes only and do not constitute medical advice

5-1-1 Pattern Detection

• This feature is an informational tool only and does not constitute medical advice
• The 5-1-1 rule (contractions 5 minutes apart, lasting 1 minute, for 1 hour) is a general guideline — always contact your healthcare provider for personalized guidance
• Alerts are triggered and delivered entirely on your device
• You can disable these alerts at any time in the App's settings

iCloud Sync

• PRO users may enable iCloud Sync to back up contraction data to their personal Apple iCloud account
• iCloud Sync requires iCloud to be enabled on the device and uses Apple's CloudKit framework
• Only you can access your iCloud data — it is tied to your Apple ID
• Sync can be disabled at any time; local data is always preserved
• You are responsible for your iCloud account's security and storage availability

Refunds

Since Lunera PRO is sold through Apple's App Store, refunds are handled by Apple in accordance with their refund policy. To request a refund, contact Apple directly through their support channels.

12. Third-party services

The App uses RevenueCat for managing in-app purchase status. RevenueCat receives only an anonymous app user ID and Apple transaction data — no personal information is shared. The App does not use analytics, advertising, or other third-party services.

13. Notifications

If you enable notifications:

• You consent to receive weekly pregnancy reminders
• Notifications are scheduled locally on your device
• PRO users with 5-1-1 pattern detection enabled may receive time-sensitive alerts when the contraction pattern is detected — these are triggered entirely on your device
• You can disable notifications at any time in the App's Settings
• We do not send promotional or marketing notifications

14. Changes to terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. When we do:

• The "Last Updated" date will be changed
• Significant changes will be communicated through App updates
• Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance

15. Changes to the App

We reserve the right to:

• Modify or discontinue the App at any time
• Update features and functionality
• Change the App's appearance or user interface

We will make reasonable efforts to notify users of significant changes.

16. Termination

You may stop using the App at any time by:

• Deleting the App from your device

These Terms remain in effect until terminated by either party.

17. Governing law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the App will be resolved in accordance with the laws of your jurisdiction.

18. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.

19. Entire agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and the App developer regarding your use of the App.

20. Acknowledgment

By using Lunera, you acknowledge that:

• You have read and understood these Terms
• You agree to be bound by these Terms
• The App is for informational purposes only
• You will consult healthcare professionals for medical advice
• You understand the limitations and disclaimers outlined above
